Lesmurdie Falls is a Hills waterfall you can approach by a short lookout walk or fold into a longer bush circuit. Those are very different outings. The cascade is most dramatic after rain; a photograph of peak flow is not a promise of the same scene on a dry spring or summer day.

Pick the lookout you can reach safely
DBCA’s picnic-area page links the short 640-metre return Falls Trail with longer routes including a more strenuous loop. The picnic area has marked accessible parking and a ramp to some facilities, but that does not establish step-free access to every lookout. Choose the particular trail from the current park map, not just the name ‘Falls’. Staying at an upper viewpoint can still give a fine sense of the valley without descending to the foot of the falls.
Waterfall conditions change quickly
Winter and spring rain affect flow and make rocks and tracks slippery. Follow the signed path and do not climb across the falls. Take drinking water even for a short visit, and wear shoes suited to gravel and possible mud. Mundy Regional Park has other trailheads and picnic spots; if you plan a longer loop, check its separate route description, turnaround time and any temporary restrictions before setting off.
