Subiaco Museum follows the suburb through the things residents used, kept and donated. It is a small, free local collection beside Subiaco Library. Weekday appointments and public opening hours differ, which matters if you are planning a Monday research stop.

A neighbourhood in objects
The City of Subiaco says the museum began in 1975 and reached its fiftieth year in 2025. Its collections and changing exhibitions cover local people, places and ordinary domestic life. There is also a selection available through Collections WA online. Start with a street, family or object you recognise and ask how it fits the suburb's changing buildings and community. A small local museum is best enjoyed without expecting every item to be on display at once.
Visit rather than turn up to an appointment day
The published public hours are Wednesday to Friday noon–4pm and Saturday 10am–2pm. Monday and Tuesday are by prior appointment, including private viewings. School and group tours can also be arranged separately. The museum sits at 239 Rokeby Road next to Subiaco Library. The library may have a wider timetable; that does not open the museum early. Admission is free, but a gift-shop purchase or special activity may cost extra.
For accessibility or research about a particular object, contact the museum before travelling. If you want another local history museum on a Sunday, check Claremont Museum for its selected dates. If you want to view something in Subiaco's online collection, ask whether the object is currently on display before making a special trip.
