“Food market” can mean a box of vegetables, lunch while browsing, or dinner beside the sea. Pick which meal you are planning first. A Saturday produce market can be nearly over by noon, while Scarborough's current winter market does not start until mid-afternoon.

For a shopping bag
Perth City Farm focuses on WA organic, biodynamic and spray-free produce, with its own stall at the weekly Saturday market. Manning Road Farmers Market at Hedley Place, Bentley also sells farm-direct produce alongside prepared food. If you have a large shopping list and an early start, Perth Markets opens the Canning Vale wholesale site on Saturday mornings. Check its vehicle or pedestrian admission charges before going; it is not simply a free farmers market.
For a meal and a wander
Fremantle Markets has food traders and produce in its Yard as well as a broader mix in the Hall. The Yard starts at 8am and the Hall at 9am on trading days, both normally closing at 6pm. For an evening meal, Scarborough Sunset Markets currently runs winter Saturdays through 24 October 2026. Check the weekly stall list and weather notice. The City of Perth's August 2026 food update announces the Twilight Food Market returning to Forrest Place from 2 October. As of this article's 25 September check, it has not yet started; check the later event listing rather than treating every Friday as confirmed.
