The Perth Markets wholesale site at 280 Bannister Road hosts two quite different public markets on weekends. Saturday is an early produce clearance from wholesalers. Sunday is a community market for prepared food, plants, crafts and second-hand finds. A search result for “Perth Markets” may also refer to weekday wholesale trade, which is not the same public visit.
| Visit detail | Saturday Clearance Market | Sunday Community Market |
|---|---|---|
| Usual start | 6am | 7am |
| Finish | 10am | Operator pages disagree: 10am or 1pm |
| Main draw | Fruit, vegetables, meat and seafood | Food stalls, homewares, plants and browsing |
| Entry | Vehicle/pedestrian charges | Separate per-person charge |
The useful distinction
The Saturday operator page states 6–10am, with public access to fresh produce, meat and seafood. It currently lists $5 per vehicle at the Bannister Road gatehouse or $2 per pedestrian at the weekend entrance, with a concession rate. Those prices can change. If buying for a household, bring bags or boxes and think about how to transport perishables. Service dogs are the exception to the site's general no-dogs rule.
The Sunday operator page advertises street food, crafts, homewares, bric-a-brac and plants. Its “Event Details” block says 7–10am. A newer guide on the same operator's site says 7am–1pm; the City of Canning's September 2026 event listing also lists 7am–1pm. Do not rely on the later closing time without asking Perth Markets. Aim for the morning if you cannot get confirmation. The Sunday page lists $2.50 per person, concessions and parking via Baile Road. Verify those details on the day.
Arrival and access
The address for both is 280 Bannister Road, Canning Vale, but the entrances and charging methods differ. Use the relevant day's directions, not just the main wholesale-market gate. The Saturday page describes undercover bays inside; the Sunday page describes a main entrance near Phoever and access from Baile Road. Ask the operator about wheelchair routes and the specific gate you need. Some vendors take only cash, so check your preferred payment method.
This package does not contain a photograph of the Canning Vale market: a verified reusable image of the actual public market was not found. For other options see Saturday farmers markets and weekend markets.
