Clarkson Reserve is on the Swan River in Maylands, not in the northern suburb of Clarkson. The name can send a map search in the wrong direction. Use 50 Clarkson Road as your destination for a relaxed river-edge stop with a playground and picnic facilities.

A riverside stop with room to linger
The City of Bayswater lists paths, public toilets, a nature-based playground, exercise equipment and club facilities within the reserve. The sports clubs are separate users of the site; do not assume their courts or rooms are open for casual drop-in. Take a gentle walk along the river after lunch, or choose a bench away from the busiest play space. Keep watch near the water with children even if the playground is your main reason for coming.
Use the public space as intended
The City says casual use of this parkland is first come, first served rather than a standard park booking. Special installations such as jumping castles can still require approval or a bond, and pegs or stakes are not permitted for marquees. Check current signs and City rules if bringing a dog or planning a gathering. A river path can have wet or uneven patches after rain, so choose the paved portion if you need a more predictable surface.
