The Motor Museum sits inside Whiteman Park and brings together cars, motorcycles and road stories from very different decades. It is easy to make a longer park outing of it, but the museum has its own admission and opening hours. The park's general hours are not the museum's ticket hours.

Vehicles from different lives
The museum presents motoring history through a changing range of vehicles. The Whiteman Park listing describes more than 200 vehicles across two buildings, from everyday road travel to rare designs. Pick two or three types that interest you rather than trying to read every label. The Ford Model T ambulance pictured here was photographed in the museum in 2019, but a photograph is not a guarantee it occupies the same spot now.
Distinguish the two clocks
The operator lists the Motor Museum as 10am–4pm daily except Christmas Day. Whiteman Park's hours are longer, usually 8.30am–6pm. Being allowed into the park outside 10am–4pm does not open the museum doors. Check current ticket prices, holiday notices and any special motoring event before you drive out. Ask the museum for routes between its two buildings if stairs, distance or seating matter to you.
Other Whiteman Park museums have separate tickets and opening times. Revolutions Transport Museum explores movement and society across the state, while the Tractor Museum focuses on farm machinery and volunteer demonstrations. Decide which one fits your visit; a park map helps with distances between them.
