Holmes à Court Gallery @ no.10 is at 10 Douglas Street in West Perth's Pickle District. It presents changing exhibitions connected with the gallery's wider programme and the Janet Holmes à Court Collection.
Before travelling, check that an exhibition is running. The regular public timetable applies during exhibition periods, and Saturday hours are shorter than weekday hours. Also check the venue name: the gallery at Vasse Felix, near Margaret River, is a separate destination.
Visitor information checked on 25 September 2026.

What you can see at no.10
The gallery's changing programme is a reason to look up the current show before choosing a day. Exhibitions may bring together work around a particular subject, artist or collection theme, with talks and other events advertised separately.
The Janet Holmes à Court Collection began in the early 1960s and now includes more than 5,000 registered works. That figure describes the collection as a whole. A visit to no.10 gives you access to the exhibition on display, rather than to every work in the collection.
If you are hoping to see a particular artist, search the exhibition listing or ask the gallery directly. Works may appear in a temporary show or be loaned to another institution, so inclusion in the collection does not mean a work is currently on view in West Perth.
Current and upcoming exhibitions
Read the curatorial introduction before visiting for an outline of the artists' approaches and the questions the exhibition raises.
The gallery also lists EDGE | FILL | KEY: Laszlo Lukacs for 14 November to 19 December 2026, curated by Ron Nyisztor. Check the final event details closer to your visit, particularly for an opening or artist talk that may have its own booking arrangements.
For dates beyond these shows, go to the exhibition programme and select a listing marked no.10.
Hours, entry and appointments
During exhibitions, the gallery opens at 11am on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, and at noon on Saturday. It closes at 5pm on those weekdays and 4pm on Saturday. Public holidays are excluded.
Outside exhibition periods, the venue page says visits are by appointment. Contact the gallery before making a special trip; an appointment should not be assumed to include a private collection tour or access to works in storage.
The official pages checked for this guide did not establish a single admission rule covering every exhibition and event. Use the relevant listing for any charge, registration requirement or capacity limit.
Getting there and arranging access
Enter 10 Douglas Street, West Perth into your journey planner. The area is described by the gallery as Gooyaman, within the Pickle District. Use Transperth's JourneyPlanner to compare current public transport options from your starting point.
If you drive, check parking signs and any arrival instructions attached to the event you are attending.
For step-free entry, accessible toilets, seating or help during a visit, contact the gallery on 08 6217 2640 or hacgallery@heytesbury.com.au. Ask about the arrangements for the particular exhibition or event you intend to attend.
The West Perth and Vasse Felix galleries
Holmes à Court operates a second gallery at Vasse Felix in Cowaramup, near Margaret River. Its address, opening hours and exhibitions are separate from no.10 in West Perth.
This distinction is especially useful when following an exhibition between venues. Time to Burn, for example, was shown at Vasse Felix before its West Perth presentation. Use the dates attached to the specific location, rather than an older announcement for the same exhibition title.
